So - our 10 day Arts Week is over - and it's a bit like the let down after Christmas - I dont really want to dismantle my displays, and will be sad to see Chrissie Snelling's pictures leave our walls too! ( 'though we are buying one of the prints !)
I am lucky to be able to work at my beading table in the Studio/Sitting room during the quiet patches of the day when we have no visitors, so a quiet day is a productive day, but it's great when visitors come and browse my displays - there's a buzz of approval, and watching people pick up and try on pieces that appeal to them.
I have made a charming Mother of Pearl Buttons Brooch with brown and apricot Mother of pearl buttons on top of the tiny white ones - and embellished with seed beads - it's a pleasing brooch! And I love using Lucite beads to create tiny flowers with seed beads to embellish other button brooches.
Next - to see whether I can find some shops that would like to sell some of my Jewellery creations......
and update my etsy shop too - I sold quite a few of the items I have up for sale on Etsy - need more photos now of other items!

AuthorI am Sue-Jane Barton - retired from running our Cottage Industry of making cakes to sell - so I supposedly have lots more time to do my jewellery - although it amazing how busy the days are with everything else! Andy and I live here in North Somerset with our two terriers - and we all love going off exploring Great Britain in our camper-van. I take my beads with me very often - and can be spotted sitting outside the van making jewellery - and hoping not to lose beads in the grass!! Archives
